The Hollon House

The following pictures were taken by  from Spindle Photography. Kelly Cummings is a wedding and lifestyle photographer based in Birmingham, Alabama and available for worldwide travel. Her body of work is amazing and can be viewed on her website here. The pictures were published to the fabulous blog Honeysuckle Life, authored by  Rebekah Marenda Burder. Check it out for design ideas, beauty tips, yummy recipes, and entertaining suggestions. Rebekah Anne began the blog to acknowledge the simple things in life that can add beauty and depth to that around us. She has been in the blogging industry for a while and happened to know my amazing sister who lives and works all the way across the country in Seattle, WA. Small world…

Holly Hollon, the owner of the home featured, is a fabulous artist specializing in branding and calligraphy. Her work is drop-dead fabulous. Not only is she extremely talented, she is a joy to work with. My own logo is to her credit. I also just received the most precious wedding invitation in the mail that she designed. I knew it was hers the second I saw it–I could pick her calligraphy out of a lineup. I will instagram a pic of it later, so stay tuned!

Kelly Cummings (Spindle Photography) - Love! Thank you for the shoutout and for being such an amazing artist!

Summer Soiree

Last night we attedned a shower for our good friends Leah and Lucas (their wedding is coming up in October… Pictures to come!). It is so fun seeing two people that are loved by so many.

I threw together some quick arrangements that had to hold up in the steamy Alabama heat. A great time was had by all–good eats and drinks, especially the ooey gooey butter cakes that my husband made (but dreamed up by the one and only Paula Deen)! I wish I had some pictures of the host’s beautiful backyard. It was a dog’s dream, and we intend to set up a doggy play-date ASAP.

Here are a few detail shots:
